The treatment
Before treatment, some pictures are taken for your personal dossier. After you have given the doctor written consent for treatment and your health has been mapped out, an anaesthetic cream is to the area surrounding your cheekbones. The procedure itself does not take more than a few minutes. You will receive between five and ten injections to the area that is to be treated. After the doctor has massaged the treatment area, you will have the option to cool your cheekbones with an icepack. The prices in our video are maybe not the actual prices. The doctors of The Body Clinic prefer to use a little less product for the initial procedure to leave some wriggling space for an optional touch-up during the free check-up appointment. This way, we can guarantee you the best and most natural end result. Our doctors use hyaluronic acid for their fillers. This bioactive product has an enhancing effect on the skin through natural hydration and stimulation of the collagen.

Our advice is to arrive half an hour in advance of your appointment. We will apply a numbing cream to the treatment area. Some time is required for the effect of the cream to kick in. To prevent bruising: We recommend you starting your intake of Arnica drops (maximum dosage) for five days leading up to your appointment and urge you to quit taking food supplement, vitamins and fish oil five days in advance as well. We also advise you not to drink any alcohol for 48 hours before your appointment. Also, quit taking any blood-thinning medications such as Naproxen, Ibuprofen and Aspirin a full week in advance of your appointment. If you take these medications regularly, please consult your family doctor.
You may immediately cool the treated area following your procedure. Avoid exposure to the sun for the first week post-procedure. Also, do not visit a tanning salon or sauna. Make sure to apply a sunscreen with a high SPF every day. We advise you to avoid all beauty or skin therapist treatments for two weeks post-treatment. We would like to welcome you back to our clinic for a check-up appointment after two weeks.
Although in most cases your cheekbones will not appear to have undergone a procedure, some swelling might occur. This can persist for a few days. You might also experience some minor bruising at the treated area, but you are allowed to camouflage the bruising a few hours after treatment.
The final results of your treatment should be visible after approximately two weeks. Subsequently the filler will slowly dissolve. After twelve months, you can schedule a follow-up treatment.

FAQ
Will I get apple-cheeks if I fill my cheekbones?
No, our physicians fill the cheekbones high up. This prevents the face from becoming apple-cheeked. Sometimes it may be the right decision to treat the temples too for an especially natural result. This lifts the face optically even more.
Will filling my cheekbones optically lift the lower side of my face?
Adding volume to cheekbones and, if required, to the temples as well, restores the V-shape of the face. The upper side of the face is lifted optically and in addition the nasolabial fold becomes less deep. To optically lift the lower side of the face, it is best that we treat the corners of the mouth as well. It may be very difficult, even impossible, to lift the lower part of the face using fillers. What are the costs of cheekbone treatment?
Depending on the number of millilitres used, The Body Clinic will charge between 550-700 euros. If you combine this with a liquid facelift, it’ll be less expensive.
