Treatment
The area of the chin is always pretreated with a numbing cream. It is important to be present for this 30 minutes before the chin tuck treatment. Before the treatment begins, your health will be assessed and photographs of the area to be treated will be taken. Natural result
During a chin correction treatment, the doctors at The Body Clinic always use a hyaluronic acid-based volume filler. Volume fillers are always injected deeply, guaranteeing a particularly natural result. These fillers slightly contour your chin, restoring balance to your face. What to do before and after treatment
If you come 30 minutes before the chin correction treatment, we can apply Emla cream (numbing cream) to you. To prevent bruising: You can start Arnica drops five days before the treatment. It is recommended that you stop all dietary supplements, vitamins and fish oil 5 days before the treatment and do not take any blood-thinning drugs such as Aspirin, Naproxen and Ibuprofen (the latter possibly after consulting your doctor). Please do not consume alcohol 48 hours before treatment.
Avoid sunlight for the first week after chin correction treatment. Use a sunscreen with a sun factor (min. SPF30) daily. We advise against using the sauna or solarium in the first week after the treatment. We advise you not to undergo any beauty treatment (such as exfoliation, peeling etc) for two weeks.
Although there is usually nothing to see on the treated area of the chin, some swelling may occur. This swelling goes away a few days after the chin tuck treatment. Occasionally, a bruise develops that you may camouflage the next day.
The result with hyaluronic acid is visible for about 12 months and will gradually decrease in the final months. The result may vary from one individual to another.

FAQ
Does a botox and/or filler treatment in my chin hurt?
We numb the chin before the Filler treatment with an anesthetic cream. This makes the treatment virtually painless. With the Botox treatment, an anesthetic is not necessary.
So won't my face get wider by padding my chin?
No, we actually improve the contour of the face. We can bring the chin forward and lengthen a short chin. This improves the proportions of the face and emphasizes the V-line of the face.
What should I consider after a botox and/or filler treatment in my chin?
You may experience swelling and tenderness in the area where you were treated with filler in the chin. We recommend not exercising on the day of treatment and not using a sauna or tanning bed in the first week after treatment. Also avoid sunlight on the treated area for the first week.
Can I still talk/eat/chew immediately after chin treatment?
Yes, you can actually do everything immediately afterwards as normal. However, anesthesia may continue for a while after the treatment.
