The treatment
A Princess® treatment is a non-surgical treatment to combat volume loss. Recovery time is minimal, and the effects are immediate and look natural. Based on your skin type and wishes and needs, your attending physician will choose the Princess® injectable most suitable for you. Princess® hyaluronic acid is very similar to the hyaluronic acid naturally occurring in our body, so testing for allergies prior to treatment is not necessary. The procedure is quick and easy: the treatment takes no more than 15 to 30 minutes. After treatment you can simply go back to your daily activities looking radiant.

Before and after the treatment
Our advice is to arrive half an hour in advance of a Princess filler treatment. This gives us time to apply an anaesthetic cream on the treatment area and for the cream to kick in. Our tip to avoid bruising is for you to take the maximum dose of Arnica drops starting five days before treatment and to avoid all food supplements, vitamins and fish oil. We also recommend you not ingesting any alcohol from 48 hours before a Princess (Croma) treatment. Make sure to avoid all blood-thinning medication, if necessary in consultation with your family doctor, for a full week before the treatment. Blood-thinning medication includes Naproxen, Ibuprofen and Aspirin.
You can cool the treated area directly after a Princess treatment. Our doctors will provide ice packs. Avoid sunlight for the first week (this includes tanning beds) and saunas. Use a sunblock of 30 SPF or more on a daily basis. During the first 2 weeks following treatment, we advise you to avoid beauty or skin therapy treatments at a beauty salon. After two weeks, we will be glad to welcome you back to our clinic for a check-up appointment.
Although in most cases Princess treatments come with no visible side effects, some swelling can occur. Naturally, the risks of swelling increase with the number of fillers injected. Swelling can last up to a few days. In addition to swelling, bruising can occur. You may cosmetically cover any bruising a few hours after treatment.
The final result should be visible after approximately two weeks. Afterwards, the Princess filler will start to dissolve slowly. After an average of 12 months, a follow-up treatment may be scheduled.
Free intake
During your intake appointment, you will be given the option to meet your treating physician. Your wishes and expectations, the condition of your skin, the state of your health and other details will be evaluated in order to provide you with a well-considered opinion. We will discuss with you the costs of treatment and any possible alternatives. If you wish, you can have a Princess filler treatment on the same day.
Safety
Princess is a hyaluronic acid that has been on the market for years and whose safety has been proven over the long term. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally occurring in the human skin. Allergic reactions are therefore highly unlikely: an added advantage of this injectable. Another advantage is that hyaluronic acid can be dissolved in a substance known as Hyason. This fluid removes the Teosyal from the skin within days, reversing the Princess treatment.

FAQ
Are all Princess treatments at The Body Clinic carried out by a qualified physician?
Yes, they are. Only physicians are qualified to carry out this procedure. Our physicians at The Body Clinic are a member of the NVCG and Big registered.
Will I get lumps from using Princess filler?
Princess does not cause granulomas, or lumps. In earlier days permanent fillers were used. Permanent fillers have a different chemical composition which allows them stay in the skin permanently. Sometimes the composition would trigger the body’s natural defence system to resist the injectable. This reaction can cause the formation of granulomas, or bumps. Juvederm, being composed of hyaluronic acid, cannot evoke such a reaction because it is a substance that occurs naturally in the body.
Which Princess fillers are you using?
We use Princess Volume and Princess filler lidocaine by Croma Pharma.
Can I go out into the sun after Princess treatment?
You must avoid the sun for 1 week after being treated with the injectable Princess.
When can I get back to work after a Princess treatment?
A Princess treatment is truly a lunchtime treatment. Aside from a Little redness and swelling and sometimes a tiny bruise, Juvederm treatment is invisible. In other words – you can go back to work straight away.
I am under 18, can I be treated?
No in The Netherlands it is forbidden to be treated under the year of 18.
Should my skin be tested?
Princess consists of a biodegradable substance identical to the body’s own. Juvederm does not contain any human or animal substances, and there are virtually no allergy risks. So there is no need for you to take an allergy test prior to the procedure.
Is treatment with Princess painful?
A Princess treatment is generally considered not painful, although individual variation in pain sensation may be expected. The physicians at The Body Clinic often use anaesthetic cream and cold packs to make the treatment more comfortable.
Won’t Princess treatments make me look unnatural?
The physicians at The Body Clinic always take the natural ageing process as a guide for cosmetic correction. We only add volume in places where volume has been lost. If you believe that the results are not natural, it is possible to inject hyason, which dissolves Princess within several hours.
When will I start noticing results after a Princess treatment?
The results are immediately noticeable. However, the effect tends to become a little less pronounced in the days following treatment, because the initial swelling, which has a filling effect, subsides.
What is the price and can I pay in terms?
A treatment with Princess is from 500 euro and we are sorry but you cannot pay in terms. You can pay with pin/creditcard or by cash directly after treatment.
