During a free consultation, you discuss your wishes with the doctor. Your skin will be assessed, and you will receive honest advice about a Sculptra treatment. This way, you know exactly what to expect.

Preparation for the treatment

Before the treatment, the doctor will calmly go through the steps with you. Your skin will be cleansed to remove make-up residues and dirt. This way, we can start clean and safely.

The treatment

A Sculptra treatment takes 20-30 minutes. After the doctor has marked the area to be treated, Sculptra is injected at strategic points to optimize collagen stimulation.

Recovery in the clinic

If desired, you can quietly recover before resuming your daily activities. The doctor will discuss with you what you can and cannot do in the coming hours and days, so you know how best to handle the treated area.

Follow-up appointment

The result of Sculptra is visible after a minimum of eight weeks, after which we advise scheduling a follow-up appointment. Up to three treatments are needed for the desired result.

Pre- and post-treatment care

Before the treatment

Stop blood thinners (aspirin, naproxen, ibuprofen - consult your doctor), vitamins, fish oil, and supplements 5 days before the treatment. Do not drink alcohol 48 hours before the treatment. Optional: start Arnica drops 5 days before treatment. New client: arrive 15 minutes early for registration of your data.

After the treatment

Avoid sun exposure, sauna, and tanning beds for the first week after treatment. For the first 2 weeks, we advise against laser, peelings, or facial treatments. Make-up may be applied several hours after the treatment. Firmly massage the treated area for the first 5 days, 5 times a day, for 5 minutes.

Recovery time

Bruising and swelling may occur. Swelling often lasts no longer than 2-3 days. Bruises can be camouflaged with make-up several hours after the treatment. If you have any concerns after the treatment, please contact the clinic directly.

Duration of the result

You can enjoy the benefits of a Sculptra treatment for an average of 2 to 4 years. The result is long-lasting because Sculptra stimulates your own collagen production. It takes several weeks for the first results to become visible, and 6 months before the optimal effect is visible.
