Jeannette Hessels studied Medicine at Maastricht University. After qualifying as a doctor, she gained surgical experience, completed her general practice training and worked as a GP for some time. Driven by her interest in cosmetic treatments and skin improvement, she specialised in this field from 2003 onwards, including an international master’s programme in Preventive and Anti-Aging Medicine.
Positive Aging specialist
As a specialist in Positive Aging, Jeannette knows all the options and techniques for maintaining or regaining a youthful appearance. She worked at several private clinics and in the dermatology department of a large hospital, and ran her own Positive Aging practice in Utrecht from 2019 to 2026. In close consultation with you, she enhances your appearance in a subtle way, with a result that suits you. In 2025, her book De kunst van Positive Aging (The Art of Positive Aging) was published, covering the ins and outs of ageing and how you can influence the process yourself.
Experience in quality and safety
Until 1 January 2024, Jeannette was lead cosmetic doctor at Bergman Clinics. In that role, she oversaw the quality and safety of cosmetic treatments, including injectables and peels, and guided her colleagues. She also identified and introduced new techniques. She brings this experience to her work at The Body Clinic, where safety and care always come first.
