A fresher look with carboxytherapy under the eyes
From €100

During a carboxytherapy treatment, sterile medical CO₂ (carbon dioxide) is injected via a fine needle under the skin of the lower eyelid. Due to the increase of CO₂ in your skin, the body reacts with improved blood circulation and increased oxygen delivery to the skin cells. The result is a reduced visibility of dark circles and puffiness.
An average of 6-8 sessions are needed at intervals of 2-4 weeks.

"Some time ago, I was treated by Randa, and I am extremely satisfied with the result and the service. The aftercare was truly excellent! Randa is a very pleasant employee who performs her work with passion, which made me feel incredibly comfortable! Definitely a great experience and highly recommended!"

"I've now been for my second treatment (vitamin C peel) and Randa helps me every time, truly an angel. She is so good at what she does, super professional, and at the same time very gentle and reassuring. After only two treatments, my skin texture has already significantly improved. I had quite a few imperfections, and they have now almost completely disappeared. My skin truly seems transformed. Also, the Mesoestetic products they sell here work fantastically in combination with the treatments. I can't wait for my third appointment! Absolutely recommended."

"I've been visiting this clinic for at least 2 years, always seeing Randa, and I always receive excellent care. There's a very pleasant atmosphere – as soon as you walk in, you immediately feel at ease. The advice I've received has truly helped me, and I'm extremely satisfied with the results. If you're looking for beautiful, well-cared-for skin, I definitely recommend this clinic. Special thanks to Randa!"

Carboxytherapy under the eyes for dark circles and puffiness is safe and effective, with a low risk of complications, provided it is performed by experienced skin therapists. The treatment requires careful technique, a correct injection depth, and a limited CO₂ volume, due to the delicate anatomy around the eye. The treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for active eye conditions or infections in the treatment area, or after recent surgery around the eyes.

Dark circles under the eyes can be caused by visible blood vessels and venous congestion (vascular), increased pigmentation (pigmentary), shadowing due to anatomical factors such as a deep tear trough or volume loss (structural), or a combination thereof. It is important to determine the type of dark circle before treatment, as not every cause responds to carboxytherapy.
No. Carboxytherapy is most effective for dark circles caused by small blood vessels or reduced blood flow. For other causes, such as volume loss, a deep tear trough, or excess skin, this treatment alone is usually not sufficient. During a [no-obligation consultation], the skin therapist will examine your skin and advise on the best treatment.
The treatment is generally well tolerated. During the injection, a brief prick may be felt, followed by a pressure or burning sensation that usually disappears within a few minutes. Anesthesia is not necessary. The pain level is rated an average of 3 on a scale of 10.
Mild and temporary side effects are normal: redness, slight swelling, a burning or pressing sensation, tingling, and occasionally a small bruise. These usually disappear within minutes to a maximum of one week. Rare side effects, such as gas migration, are discussed during the consultation. In the event of alarm symptoms after treatment, a clear escalation plan is always available.
A slight improvement may be visible after each session. Significant improvement usually becomes visible only after multiple sessions. The full response is assessed after the entire course of treatment.
No. We advise temporarily avoiding the use of make-up or irritating skin products around the eyes until the skin is completely calm. The skin therapist will provide personal advice regarding this after the treatment.
Yes. Carboxytherapy can be used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan in combination with other skin-improving treatments. Recent treatments such as laser, peels, fillers, or botulinum toxin in the facial area require a minimum interval of two weeks. This will be discussed during the consultation.
The treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in cases of active infections or skin conditions around the eyes, recent ophthalmological procedures; with known problems with eye pressure (glaucoma); with the use of certain blood thinners, or when the dark circles have a purely structural cause. All contraindications are carefully assessed during the intake.
Carboxytherapy for the periorbital area is available at the clinics in Rotterdam, Amsterdam Zuid, Amsterdam Buitenveldert, Utrecht, and Blaricum.
