Why a Profhilo® treatment?
Profhilo is made up of a relatively new type of hyaluronic acid. Profhilo stimulates the production of, among other things, different types of collagen (1, 3, 4 and 7) and elastin in keratinocytes and fibroblasts. In addition, research has shown that Profhilo® has a stimulating effect on the differentiation and survival of stem cells and adipocytes present in the fat. This effect does not occur with a traditional hyaluronic acid treatment. Another reason to choose a Profhilo® treatment is because this method shows a longer effect compared to treatments. This is due to thermal cross-linking of hyaluronic acid. Before and after Profhilo
The Profhilo treatment
Due to the distribution of Profhilo® when injected subdermally, the treatment is extremely easy and well tolerated by the patient. In most cases, the distribution of 2 ml will suffice. over 10 points, for example 5 per half of the face. Massage is then not necessary, because the gel spreads itself. Due to the limited number of injections in a Profhilo® treatment and the possibility of bypassing vascular risk areas, the risk of hematomas is small.
Profhilo® contains two different hyaluronic acids (32 mg high molecular weight hyaluronic acid and 32 mg low molecular weight hyaluronic acid). Because the treatment consists of a combination of different hyaluronic acids, it has a stimulating effect on the biology of the skin. This effect does not occur in isolation. In short, the whole is more than the sum of its parts.

The Profhilo Areas
The Profhilo® treatment is widely applicable to improve the condition of the skin. This treatment is very popular in the face, neck and body: knees, décolleté, upper arms and hands.
Profhilo face
Areas: Face and neck. For an optimal result, 2 to 3 treatments are required, the second treatment four weeks after the first treatment. Subsequently, a touch-up can be chosen, every 6-9 months.
Profhilo body
Areas: Belly, Cleavage, Arms (upper arms), Knees, Thighs (inner), Hands. For the best result of a Profhilo body treatment, 2 to 3 treatments are required with an interval of one month. For Profhilo body we use a special kit, more about that below.
The Profhilo Body kit
The Profhilo body kit is intended for multiple areas or treatments. The kit is specially formulated to optimally hydrate and firm the skin, both in the clinic and at home. Contents of the kit:
- 2 x 3ml pre-filled Profhilo body syringes 100% pure hyaluronic acid. These are administered by the doctor.
- 4 Profhilo figura body patches to place on the treated area immediately after treatment for extra hydration and soothing.
- 1 Bottle of Profhilo figura body cream for home maintenance of the client. The cream is quickly absorbed and has been proven effective for a silky and rich texture.
Natural result from Profhilo
The Profhilo® treatment from The Body Clinic is a very safe treatment for a natural anti-aging result. The safety and quality of this innovative treatment are underlined by the fact that Profhilo® is the winner of the Aesthetic Awards. The new method of thermal crosslinking (without BDDE) used in this treatment shows a longer effect compared to non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid. The safety of the treatment is due to the fact that Profhilo® consists only of pure hyaluronic acid. This way you can optimally benefit from a natural result of this treatment.
Before and after the Profhilo treatment
In principle, anesthesia is not necessary for a Profhilo® treatment. If you do want this, we advise you to be present half an hour earlier, so that we can apply Emla cream (anesthetic cream) to you. To prevent possible bruising after the treatment, you can start with Arnica drops five days before the treatment. In addition, it is advisable to stop taking all nutritional supplements, vitamins and fish oil 5 days before the treatment. Also, do not use blood-thinning medicines, such as Aspirin, Naproxen and Ibuprofen. Discuss this with your doctor if necessary. Finally, it is important not to consume alcohol 48 hours before the Profhilo® treatment.
We do not recommend a visit to the sauna, hammam or swimming pool for the first 3 days after your Profhilo® treatment. In addition, we advise you not to sunbathe within 3 days after the treatment. Furthermore, it is not recommended to undergo intensive treatments in the treated area during the first 48 hours after the Profhilo® treatment. Think of peels, facial scrubs, microdermabrasion, laser and connective tissue massages.
Although a Profhilo® treatment in most cases goes without any problems, inflammatory reactions can occur in exceptional cases. This can include redness and swelling, which are sometimes accompanied by itching or pain when touched. These reactions can last 3 to 5 days. In addition, a bump or hardening may occur at the site of the injections. If the side effects last longer than indicated, always contact your doctor.
After the treatment, the skin is stimulated to improve skin, about 4 to 6 weeks after the first treatment you will see results. A second treatment ensures that the collagen and elastin production are extra strengthened and the result increases even more. The result of Profhilo body lasts about 9-12 months, depending on the condition of the skin. A maintenance treatment 1 or 2 times a year is strongly recommended to continue to prevent skin slackening and to keep a fresh glow.

Safety Profhilo
