Earlobe correction with fillers
Fillers can restore an area that has lost its firmness. In addition to filling, fillers based on hyaluronic acid stimulate collagen formation in the area. At The Body Clinic, we only use temporary fillers. In the past, permanent fillers and silicones were used. However, permanent fillers cannot be corrected or dissolved. Therefore, in the Netherlands, we now use temporary fillers. These fillers are based on hyaluronic acid, a transparent, body-identical gel. At The Body Clinic, we only work with A-brand hyaluronic acid, such as Restylane, Teosyal, or Saypha. Millions of treatments have already been performed with these hyaluronic acids, and their long-term safety has been proven.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body itself, and it has a hydrating and collagen-stimulating effect on the skin. Due to natural aging, the amount of hyaluronic acid and thus the volume in the skin decreases. How quickly this happens depends on lifestyle, skin wear and tear, and heredity.
Lines in your earlobe
Due to the loss of volume in the earlobe, lines appear in the skin. This can make it look as if your earring hole has torn. This can be experienced as very bothersome. With a filler treatment, we can restore firmness to your earlobe. The lines will disappear, and your earlobe will look firmer again.
Before the earlobe correction treatment
For this earlobe correction, you do not need to go under the knife; no incisions are made, and therefore you will not have stitches afterwards. Before the filler treatment, you will fill out a medical questionnaire at our clinic so that we are aware of your health. Afterwards, photos will be taken of the area to be treated. Together with your doctor, you will then discuss your wishes, and the doctor will explain which treatment will take place and which brand of filler is suitable for this. After the photos, your earlobe will be lubricated with an anesthetic cream. We will let this cream soak in for 30 minutes, after which the doctor will invite you in for the treatment.
Earlobe correction treatment
Using very small injection needles, the filler is injected into the area to be treated. The earlobe may be swollen, red, and possibly a little bruised after the treatment. You can cool the area at our clinic to counteract swelling and bruising. After the treatment, you can resume your daily activities without worry.

After approximately two weeks, you will return for a follow-up appointment to review the results and, if necessary, receive additional treatment where needed.
