What is Mesobotox
Mesobotox offers a versatile approach to rejuvenate and improve skin. This treatment is used to improve dull skin, uneven skin tone or texture and reduce excessive sebum production. Small amounts of botulinum toxin (Botox), combined with other nourishing ingredients, are infused into the skin through microneedling. This provides improved skin quality, shiny skin and reduced sebum and sweat production.

Why a Mesobotox treatment?
Introducing Botox into the superficial layers of the skin gives the skin a beautiful glow. In addition, it reduces the activity of sebaceous and sweat glands and thus balances sebum and sweat production. There is no muscle relaxation in the face, as the Botox is only sluiced into the superficial layers of the skin. Microneedling also stimulates collagen production by creating tiny micro-holes in the skin. This controlled “damage” to the skin stimulates the healing process of skin cells in which new collagen is produced. This also helps improve skin texture and tone.

The treatment Mesobotox
Prior to treatment, you will meet with our skin therapist for a consultation. During this consultation, your needs will be discussed and a realistic treatment plan will be created to achieve your desired results.
The full treatment includes skin cleansing and exfoliation, the Mesobotox treatment itself, and a soothing mask. Cleansing the skin and applying the peel reduces impurities and stimulates the cell renewal process. A cocktail of ingredients, including botulinum toxin, is then microneedled deeper into the skin. Microneedling stamps micro-needles into the skin at a very fast rate, allowing better absorption of the applied ingredients. After this, a soothing mask is applied to soothe the skin and promote recovery.

What to do before and after a Mesobotox treatment?
Before you undergo microneedling treatment at The Body Clinic, a consultation with our skin therapist always takes place first. It is strongly advised not to use tretinoin or retinol at least two days before microneedling treatment. Before treatment, avoid skin irritation and/or intentional skin tanning, including self-tanning. On the day of the treatment itself, it is important that you come to the clinic without makeup, cream, lotion or perfume on.
After treatment, avoid humid areas, heat and exercise for three days. Active ingredients, such as retinol and glycolic acid, should also be avoided for a few days after treatment. Makeup may be applied again after two days after treatment. Take care of the skin for the first few days with a mild cleanser, moisturizer and an SPF product.
Some redness or slight swelling may occur immediately after treatment, which usually disappears within 24 to 36 hours. The skin may flake slightly for about three days.
Results are usually seen within a few days to a week. The optimal effect is visible after about two weeks. Skin looks smoother, fresher and more youthful.
