If you suffer from a form of hair loss, thinning hair or baldness, a hair filler treatment can be the solution. The best-known treatment for baldness is a hair transplant, but what exactly is the difference between hair fillers and a hair transplant?
Hair fillers
A hair filler treatment is a cosmetic procedure performed by a cosmetic doctor. A hair filler uses 7 patented peptides in combination with hyaluronic acid to inhibit the hair loss process and stimulate hair growth. In a hair filler treatment, the hair filler is applied with a thin needle into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles. To achieve optimal results, you should expect four treatment sessions. This is one treatment session every two weeks, for a period of 8 weeks. After your first treatment session, the hair filler ensures that the hair loss process is already stopped. You will therefore no longer lose hair from then on. Subsequent treatment sessions stimulate blood circulation and activate the hair follicles. This ensures that thicker and stronger hairs grow back faster. A treatment takes approximately 15 minutes.
Hair transplant
A hair transplant is a surgical operation performed by a plastic surgeon. In a hair transplant, hair follicles are moved. These hair follicles are removed from a well-haired area, such as the back of the head, and then re-implanted into areas where less hair is present. The hair roots from the haired area are removed one by one with a tiny hollow needle. Then small holes are made in the bald area and the hairs are re-implanted with tweezers. A hair transplant is a lengthy procedure. On average, this treatment takes between 6 and 8 hours. Approximately two to four weeks after the hair transplant, the transplanted hairs fall out, but the hair follicle remains. New hair growth only becomes visible after about three to four months. The final result is only achieved after nine to twelve months. With a hair transplant, the implanted hair continues to grow for a lifetime.
The severity of baldness determines the solution
If you suffer from a completely bald scalp, a hair transplant offers more possibilities than a hair filler treatment. Hair fillers only work in areas where hair is still present. A hair transplant is often more painful and more expensive than a hair filler treatment. The prices of a hair transplant range from 1,900 euros to 6,000 euros. While one hair filler treatment costs around 350 euros, a follow-up session is recommended (view current prices at The Body Clinic; these may differ from the prices in this blog). The hair loss process is also not stopped by a hair transplant. The hairs can therefore still fall out. In contrast to a hair filler treatment where the hair loss process is already stopped after the first treatment session. We advise you to always have your hair and scalp assessed by a doctor first and only then make a choice for the type of treatment for hair loss and baldness.

Cosmetic surgery, in particular, caught his attention – he is especially drawn to goal-oriented and practical action. Hugo has extensive experience with injectable treatments (more than 5,000 treatments) and specializes in upper eyelid correction (more than 1,500 operations). **Fresh and natural – without it being noticeable** "The combination of minor surgery and injectable treatments makes cosmetic medicine a wonderful profession where small procedures can make someone feel fresh and revitalized again. I listen to my clients' wishes but always maintain an overview of the overall picture – so that the face remains balanced. Because it's not about perfecting one zone, but about creating harmony throughout the entire face. Together we look at how we can achieve the most natural refreshment possible without it being obvious. My goal? That you look fresh without your surroundings realizing a treatment has taken place. That, for me, is the sign of a successful treatment." **Background & specialization** With his background in plastic surgery and his specialization in cosmetic procedures, Hugo combines surgical precision with an artistic eye for balance and harmony. His experience of more than 5,000 injectable treatments and 1,500 upper eyelid corrections makes him a versatile specialist within cosmetic medicine.
