Video about laser therapy for couperose and rosacea

Redness and visible capillaries can affect your self-confidence. With laser therapy, you effectively reduce couperose, rosacea, and other forms of redness.

What is couperose treatment?
Couperose treatment with laser or IPL therapy effectively reduces visible capillaries and redness. Targeted light pulses close off dilated blood vessels, which the body then naturally breaks down. This results in more even skin.

Our skin therapists always give honest advice that suits your wishes and skin.

Below you will find the most common indications for which laser therapy for couperose and redness is effectively used.
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition where the most common complaints are unwanted flushing, small pimples, and visible capillaries. Rosacea can flare up due to internal and external factors, such as alcohol, diet, stress, and sudden large temperature differences. Laser therapy aims to reduce visible redness and improve overall skin condition.
Couperose is a common skin condition characterized by the visibility of dilated capillaries on the cheeks and nose. This can be caused by genetic predisposition, sun damage, and smoking, among other things. Visible capillaries can also appear on other parts of the body, such as on the legs and décolleté. By lasering couperose, targeted light waves cause the capillaries to constrict, and the body then clears them away.
Small, superficial blood vessels that are often visible as red, purple, or blue lines on the legs. They usually arise due to hereditary predisposition, hormonal factors, or prolonged standing. With the help of targeted laser pulses, the vessels are heated and then cleared away by the body. As a result, they gradually fade or disappear.
Other forms of stubborn redness on the face or body can also be effectively treated with laser therapy.

The price of a laser treatment for redness depends on the size of the area to be treated. At The Body Clinic, you can get a laser treatment for redness, vascular lesions, and rosacea starting from €75. During a free consultation, you will receive personalized price advice based on your situation.
For the desired result, an average of two to four treatments are needed. The exact number depends on the severity of the couperose, your skin type, and your personal wishes. During the consultation, the skin therapist will draw up a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to you.
Immediately after the treatment, you may experience mild redness and swelling. The treated vessels may first turn purple before disappearing. The full result gradually becomes visible in the days and weeks after the treatment, as the body breaks down and clears the vessels.
The treatment may cause a slight stinging sensation during the laser pulses. Most people find this well-tolerated. On a scale of 0 to 10, the pain is rated at an average of 4. The skin therapist ensures you feel as comfortable as possible during the treatment.
The Body Clinic's laser therapy is offered at locations in Amsterdam Buitenveldert, Amsterdam-Zuid, Blaricum, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, and Utrecht.
We recommend not using makeup on the first day after the treatment to allow the skin to recover optimally. The skin therapist will provide personal advice during the treatment on when you can wear makeup again.
The results of laser therapy for couperose remain visible for approximately 3 to 6 months. As couperose can be influenced by factors such as genetic predisposition, sun damage, and lifestyle, we recommend maintaining the results by repeating the treatment 1 to 2 times a year for a long-lasting effect.
