Video about tattoo and PMU removal

With laser therapy, unwanted tattoos and permanent make-up can be controlled and effectively removed. The ink fades gradually.

What does a laser tattoo removal treatment entail?
Laser tattoo removal is a treatment for removing unwanted tattoos and permanent make-up (PMU). The treatment is performed with a laser that breaks down the pigment subcutaneously. The broken-down pigment is then carried away by your body, and the tattoo fades.

Please note: green, yellow, and light blue colors cannot be treated.

How does the Q-Switch laser work?
At The Body Clinic, we use the Q-Switch laser for removing tattoos and permanent make-up. This laser works with nanosecond pulses that are focused on dark ink colors. The laser radiation heats the ink particles, breaking them down into smaller particles that the body can then remove via the lymphatic system. This gradually fades the tattoo or PMU. The Q-Switch laser is suitable for both regular tattoos and permanent make-up.

On average, 6 to 10 treatments are needed for tattoos and 3 to 6 treatments for PMU.

Laser therapy for tattoo and PMU removal is suitable for various situations:
Tattoos with dark colors such as black, dark blue, and dark purple can be effectively treated with the Q-Switch laser.
Microblading, permanent eyeliner, lip blush, and other forms of permanent make-up can be removed or faded. Please note: with PMU, a faint yellow haze may remain.
If you want a new tattoo over an existing one, laser therapy can lighten the old tattoo for better possibilities.
Tattoos that have faded or changed color due to aging or sun exposure can be completely removed.

How painful it actually is to have a tattoo removed by laser is not so bad. It is sometimes compared to a rubber band snapping against the skin. The Body Clinic uses a Zimmer cooling system. This system provides a constant stream of cool air directed at the skin, making the treatment well-tolerated.
Laser tattoo removal typically requires 6 to 10 treatments, with approximately 8 weeks between each session. The exact number of sessions depends on the tattoo's size, colors, and age. During the consultation, the skin therapist will provide an estimate of the required number of treatments.
Laser tattoo removal at The Body Clinic starts from €65. This is for a tattoo up to 5 square centimeters in size. Laser removal of permanent makeup starts from €85. The price depends on the size of the area to be treated.
The answer to this is simply: yes. Not all ink colors can be treated with the laser, but the vast majority can. The colors we can treat (black, dark blue, dark purple) can be completely removed from the skin. The colors green, yellow and light blue cannot be treated.
Yes, after completing the laser treatments and the recovery process, the skin can be tattooed again. Laser therapy is also often used as preparation for a cover-up, where an existing tattoo is lightened to give the tattoo artist more options.
PMU laser removal typically requires 3 to 6 treatments. It's possible that the PMU cannot be completely removed (due to light yellow pigments), but it may be possible to tattoo over it in consultation.
The colors green, yellow, and light blue cannot be treated with the Q-Switch laser. This applies to both tattoos and permanent makeup. In the case of permanent makeup, a slight yellow haze may remain, as this color cannot be treated with the laser.
After each treatment, you will notice the tattoo fading. It takes approximately 8 weeks for your body to break down the ink particles. After this period, you can schedule the next treatment. The final result will be visible after the last treatment.
Yes, the result of lipolysis is permanent. The fat cells, once broken down, will not return in those areas, as long as you maintain a stable weight.
