What is a liquid facelift?
A liquid facelift is a non-surgical facial treatment where strategically placed fillers subtly lift and refine the face. Instead of removing skin, as with a surgical facelift, lost volume is restored with hyaluronic acid fillers.

The doctor analyzes your facial shape and discusses your wishes. We determine which areas will be treated to restore the V-shape. The doctor checks your medical background and skin quality to assess suitability and safety.
Before the treatment, the doctor calmly goes through the steps with you. Your skin is cleansed, and a numbing cream is applied. This way, we can start clean and comfortably.
With ultra-thin cannula needles, hyaluronic acid is injected into strategic places in your face. The treatment takes about 35 minutes, and the result is immediately visible: you look fresh and rested, without looking 'done'.
If desired, you can rest for a while before resuming your daily activities. The doctor discusses what you can and cannot do in the coming hours and days, so you know how best to deal with the treated area.

With a regular facelift, a piece of skin is cut away to tighten the skin. The skin is, as it were, pulled up and reattached at the hairline. With a liquid facelift – also called a facelift with fillers – volume is added to achieve virtually the same effect. Often, the liquid facelift is a better option for volume loss, especially since it has a safer risk profile than a surgical facelift. It is much less invasive. However, in cases of severe sagging at the bottom of the face, a normal facelift may offer a solution. The cost of a liquid facelift depends on the number of areas being treated. The price for 3 ml of a liquid facelift starts from €1,100. Which liquid facelift is suitable for you will be discussed with the doctor during a free consultation.
In principle, very few contraindications are known for this treatment. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should not be treated. This treatment is also not advisable in cases of certain rare autoimmune diseases. Finally, not all wrinkles are suitable for treatment. Ultimately, the doctor will decide if you are suitable for this treatment.
So-called 'puffed-up' faces are often caused by incorrect use of fillers. If skin laxity is too great or if the face already has a lot of natural volume, too much filler can cause an unnatural appearance. That is why The Body Clinic always offers a free consultation. During this consultation, we assess whether you are suitable for a liquid facelift and evaluate the quality of your skin. You will receive honest, personalized advice from us. Furthermore, The Body Clinic prefers multiple treatments in small steps rather than an immediate 'plump' effect.
Whether the treatment is perceived as painful varies from person to person. If you have a fear of needles, it will not be a pleasant treatment. However, we do use a numbing cream that ensures the treatment is experienced as less painful. The filler itself also contains lidocaine, which has an anesthetic effect. We really take our time and have experience with people who don't like needles.
Recovery time varies greatly per person. If you have ever had a filler treatment before, this can give a good indication of how quickly you recover. Usually, after a liquid facelift, you are perfectly presentable again after 3-4 days. Any swelling will have subsided, and any bruising can be camouflaged. Please also read our treatment protocol carefully to know what you can do yourself to prevent bruising.
The result lasts for about a year. However, during that year, a slight volume loss may occur as the body naturally breaks down some hyaluronic acid. Therefore, some people opt for a bi-annual touch-up treatment.
The whole-face approach involves adding volume to all areas where volume loss has occurred naturally over time — such as cheekbones, cheeks, temples, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines. By using multiple Radiesse injections, a lifting effect is created, comparable to a mini-facelift.
