Everyone frowns, some more vehemently than others. Over time, the frown line may remain in the skin. Frequent frowning creates a permanent line between the eyebrows. This may result in an angry or stern look. The frown line occurs in both men and women and occurs at a young or later age.
What is a frown line?
While frowning, you contract the muscles between the eyebrows. Not everyone gets a frown line. This depends entirely on how violently and how often a person frowns. In addition, it has to do with heredity.
How does the frown line occur?
The frown wrinkle is caused by looking at a small screen, such as the phone or looking into the sun. The frequent contraction of the muscles between the eyebrows allows these wrinkles to remain in the skin even at rest. This has left you with a permanently angry and/or stern look, and this is obviously not what you want. You are often asked if you are angry or grumpy when you do not feel that way at all. By treating this frown line with botox(Azzalure), the skin between the eyebrows no longer creases, resulting in a calm appearance.
Other effects of frowning
In addition to an angry and/or stern look, frowning can also cause headaches or migraines. Because of the muscle tension between the eyebrows, you experience an annoying pain in your forehead. A very annoying side effect of frowning without any medical cause. If your frown results in a permanent wrinkle at rest and/or in headaches, then botox treatment may be a good solution.
Frown wrinkle filling
In some cases, the frown line remains strong in the skin even when you are not frowning. Botox treatment will then keep the wrinkle from getting worse. But, of course, you also want to get rid of the wrinkle that is already in the skin. A botox treatment combined with a hyaluronic acid filler treatment is then the right solution for you. This way you tackle the two problems together at once. With a filler, you can actually fill a specific area. In this case, the frown wrinkle is filled.
Free consultation frown wrinkle
Getting treatment with botox at a cosmetic clinic is a big step for many people. Therefore, it is always a good idea to come in for a no-obligation consultation prior to treatment. The doctor will discuss your options with you and, of course, explain what a Botox is and whether it is the appropriate treatment for you. In fact, sometimes the frown line is already so deep in the skin that treatment with Botox is not enough. Whether filler treatment is also necessary will be discussed with you during the consultation. The doctor will then draw up a treatment plan for you to best alleviate the frown line.
