Excessive perspiration under the armpits is a common complaint that can be physically and mentally distressing. When regular remedies are insufficient, a Botox anti-perspiration treatment can be a safe and effective solution.

What can you do about anti-perspiration under the armpits?

Excessive sweating will be a thing of the past with a Botox dry treatment! Have you tried every deodorant, but none of them help with excessive sweating under your armpits? Are you tired of large wet patches on your clothes and no longer want to feel uncomfortable? We, at The Body Clinic, have the solution for excessive perspiration! Botox is often associated with treating frown lines, the forehead or crow's feet. But in addition to the face, Botox can also be injected under the armpits.

Excessive Sweating

Everyone sweats. It's a normal bodily function. Sweating cools the body, contributing to a constant body temperature. This allows your body to adapt to its environment. Each person's sweat glands work with different intensity. Some hardly perspire, while others suffer from excessive perspiration, wet patches on clothes, or a body odor caused by sweat. There can be an imbalance in the nervous system under the armpits, causing you to sweat more than usual. Medication or psychological disorders can also lead to excessive sweating. A Botox treatment under the armpits offers a solution for excessive perspiration. Botulinum toxin (Botox) blocks the function of the nerves that control the sweat glands, preventing these glands from producing sweat in, for example, the armpits.

How do I get rid of underarm perspiration?

If you still perspire excessively despite good hygiene, using deodorant, and wearing breathable clothing, you are eligible for a Botox anti-perspiration treatment. Even if you don't perspire excessively, this treatment can help prevent stains on your clothes.

Anti-perspiration Treatment

A Botox treatment under the armpits is a true ‘lunchtime treatment’. You can literally be treated during your lunch break. You first fill out a health declaration and a treatment agreement, and then you can be treated directly for excessive sweating. No anesthetic cream is needed for the armpit treatment. The armpits should be shaved so that the cosmetic doctor can properly mark the area to be treated. Approximately 13-18 injections are given per armpit. After the treatment, you can lightly ‘press’ the area. Cooling is not necessary. You can essentially resume your daily activities immediately. The duration of the result varies per person, but you can expect it to last approximately 3-6 months.
