Drs. Lynn Nijland first studied Psychology and then Medicine at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. After graduating, she gained experience as a cosmetic doctor and as a doctor in a general practice in Voerendaal. Thanks to her background in both psychology and medicine, she looks not only at physical health, but also at the psychological factors behind lifestyle, eating habits and lasting behavioural change.
Personal guidance and lasting change
What appeals to Lynn about obesity care is the opportunity to guide people towards a healthier lifestyle and greater wellbeing. In her view, losing weight is not just about eating less or moving more, but also about habits and what is going on in your daily life. She takes the time to listen and asks questions that go beyond your weight alone. Together with you, she looks for an approach that suits your situation, goals and challenges, with achievable steps and lasting results as the starting point.
Science and innovation
Alongside her clinical work, Lynn gains experience in medical research, including research into obesity medication. The rapid developments in this field make her work especially interesting. She follows new insights and treatment methods with great enthusiasm and brings that knowledge directly into her consultations. This allows her to guide you with care that is both personal and evidence-based.
