Zepbound®
Tirzepatide
What is Zepbound?
Zepbound is a drug with the active ingredient Tirzepatide used in the treatment of weight management. It works by lowering blood sugar levels, supporting the body’s natural production of insulin, regulating appetite and stimulating fat burning. The drug has been approved by the FDA in America, but will not enter the Dutch market.
Tirzepatide
Tirzepatide, the active ingredient in Zepbound, is an incretin mimetic that mimics the action of 2 different incretin hormones. These hormones have different effects: they lower fasting glucose levels and they stimulate the release of insulin after meals, which helps regulate blood sugar levels. Furthermore, it slows gastric emptying, acts on appetite in the brain and stimulates fat burning, which contributes to weight loss.
Buy Zepbound
Zepbound can be obtained in the U.S. only with a doctor’s prescription. It is not available on the Dutch market and will not become so, according to manufacturer Eli Lilly.

The workings of Zepbound
Zepbound works in two ways: it stimulates insulin production when blood sugar levels are high and reduces appetite at the same time. This not only improves blood sugar regulation, but also supports weight loss and fat burning.
