The Profhilo Structura treatment is a non-surgical, aesthetic treatment to counteract skin sagging and volume loss. The treatment is suitable for the face. The Profhilo Structura treatment
In the Profhilo Structura treatment, pure hyaluronic acid is injected through a cannula. In most cases, this focuses on the sides of the face, or under the cheekbone, because the fatty tissue there becomes especially thinner and less. Because of this decrease in fat tissue, skin sagging occurs. The restoration of the fat cells ensures that you get a subtle but effective elevator of the face.
The doctor will discuss with you which areas should be treated. Dots are then placed in the areas where the injections are to be made. After this, the treatment can begin. In general, the Profhilo Structura treatment is not experienced as painful, although of course this varies from person to person.

What to do before and after the Profhilo Structura treatment
In principle, anesthesia is not necessary for the Profhilo Structura treatment. Should you still feel the need for this, we recommend coming in half an hour earlier for the anesthetic cream. It is recommended to stop all dietary supplements, vitamins and fish oil five days before the treatment. Also avoid blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, naproxen and ibuprofen, and consult with your doctor about this if necessary.
We recommend avoiding direct sunlight, saunas and tanning beds for the first week after treatment. For the first two weeks after treatment, we recommend not undergoing laser treatments, peels or other facial care procedures. Do not use makeup on the treated area in the first hours after the Profhilo Structura treatment. Twenty-four hours after treatment, you may resume sports.
The Profhilo Structura treatment is virtually trouble-free. After treatment, there may be some swelling and redness, but these are gone after 1 day. There may also be a bump or hardening at the injection sites. If the side effects last longer than indicated or if you are unsure if it is normal, always contact your treating physician.
How long the Profhilo Structura results last varies from person to person. For best results, we recommend a second treatment, 4 weeks apart. You can expect the result to last about 4 to 6 months, depending on your skin. To maintain results, we recommend returning for maintenance treatments in consultation with the doctor.

What is the difference between Profhilo and Profhilo Structura?
Profhilo is a skin treatment in which pure hyaluronic acid is injected superficially into the skin. This treatment stimulates the body’s own production of collagen and elastin and hydrates the skin. Profhilo Structura also consists of pure hyaluronic acid but with a higher molecular weight and is therefore a thicker variant. It is injected into the deeper fat layer under the skin through a cannula. It stimulates the recovery of the fatty tissue, making your own fatty tissue fuller and firmer again. This improves and elevators your own facial contours.
How quickly do you see results after Profhilo Structura?
After the first 4 to 6 weeks, you may see an increase in skin firmness and volume. These improvements continue for 4 to 6 months after the last treatment.
Can Profhilo Structura and Botox go together?
Yes, it is however recommended to wait at least two weeks to have the second treatment performed. This is because the body needs to heal from treatment.
What is the difference between Profhilo Structura and Sculptra?
Sculptra stimulates the production of collagen through Poly-L-Lactic Acid, resulting in gradual and long-term volume improvement and reduction of wrinkles. Profhilo Structura, on the other hand, contains pure hyaluronic acid and aims to stimulate the regeneration of fat cells. This also adds volume and provides a lifting effect.
