What does a lipolysis treatment involve?

How do deoxycholic acids work in lipolysis?
Deoxycholic acid is a natural bile salt that breaks down fat. This bile salt dissolves the fat cells on the spot, and it is transported via your bloodstream to the liver and broken down there. Your body completely removes the fat within a few weeks. The treated fat cells do not return; the result is permanent.
During a non-committal consultation, the doctor analyzes your double chin and facial structure. Together you discuss your wishes and expectations. In addition, the doctor reviews your medical history to assess whether lipolysis is safe and suitable for you.
Before the treatment, the doctor will calmly walk you through the steps. Your skin will be cleansed, and a numbing cream will be applied. This way, we can start cleanly and comfortably.
A number of injections (average 10) are administered into the fat tissue of the double chin. The fat cells in the double chin are broken down by the substance. The treatment itself takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
To counteract bruising and swelling after the treatment, you can cool down immediately at our clinic. The doctor will discuss with you what you can and cannot do in the coming hours and days, so you know how best to deal with the treated area.
A follow-up appointment can be scheduled after approximately 8 weeks. Depending on your goal, 1 to 3 treatments may be needed. A personalized treatment plan will be drawn up during a non-committal consultation.
