Video about PRP treatment

A PRP treatment uses your own blood plasma to stimulate skin rejuvenation or promote hair growth, exactly as your body intended.

What does a PRP treatment entail?
During PRP, blood is drawn from your arm and centrifuged to separate platelets from red and white blood cells. The result is a concentrated solution with extra platelets and growth factors. This is injected into the treated area and stimulates natural healing and rejuvenation of skin and hair follicles.

For optimal results, we recommend multiple sessions of the PRP treatment.

Benefits of a PRP treatment
PRP is a proven effective treatment that is completely natural. Because we use your own blood plasma, there is no risk of allergic reactions and your body is stimulated to rejuvenate itself from within.

A PRP treatment can be slightly uncomfortable due to the injections. We can apply numbing cream beforehand to increase comfort. Most people find it well-tolerated, with a pain score of 3 on a scale of 10.
PRP results gradually develop over 2-3 months and can last for 6-12 months, depending on your personal situation. For optimal results, we recommend maintenance treatments.
For skin rejuvenation, you often see improvement in skin texture and radiance after just 4-6 weeks. For hair growth, it can take 8-12 weeks before you notice the first new hair growth.
Not everyone is suitable for PRP. We carefully screen for contraindications such as bleeding disorders, active infections, certain autoimmune diseases, and pregnancy. The use of blood thinners can also be a contraindication.
We advise you not to use NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen, naproxen, and diclofenac) or alcohol, and to refrain from smoking, for 24-48 hours before the PRP treatment. Arrive with a washed scalp (for a hair treatment) or clean skin without makeup (for a skin treatment). Drink plenty of water on the day of the treatment.
The most common side effects are temporary redness, slight swelling, and sensitivity at the injection sites. Occasionally, small bruises may appear. These usually disappear within a few days.
We draw approximately 10-20 ml of blood into special tubes. This is then centrifuged, causing the platelets to concentrate. The PRP is subsequently drawn up sterilely and injected directly.
Yes, PRP combines well with other treatments such as skin boosters or microneedling. During your consultation, we will discuss whether a combination treatment is suitable for your situation.
PRP has been successfully used in medicine and sports medicine for years. There is extensive scientific research that supports the effectiveness of PRP for skin rejuvenation and hair growth.
For optimal results, we usually recommend a course of 3-4 treatments with a 4-week interval between sessions. After that, maintenance with 1-2 treatments per year may be sufficient to sustain the results.
