Healthy and glowing skin is what everyone wants. But how do you get them? A few practical tips will get you a long way. Try these 5 steps.

1. Stop or reduce cow’s milk

Delicious a cafe latte! But recent research has shown (American Journal of Dermatology) that people who drink a lot of milk are 44% more likely to develop severe acne. This number is not only childhood pimples in teenagers, but also in adults. People who reduce their intake of dairy products often get better skin. A substitute product for cow’s milk is soy milk or almond milk. (Should you have a cup of coffee with us before or after a treatment you can choose a cappuchino with cow’s milk or soy milk)

2. Vitamin C

Choose fruits that are full of vitamin C. This is a strong antioxidant that fights inflammation. Berries, kiwi, pomegranate, lemon, as well as vegetables like broccoli and Brussels sprouts are full of them. Take between 500 – 2000 mg per day for healthy skin. This is significantly more than the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) prescribes. So 1 orange a day won’t get you there!

Packed with anti-inflammatory compounds and antioxidants that ensure you keep a tight radiant skin. The many fibers naturally found in vegetables help you keep your blood sugar levels balanced, reducing or eliminating cravings for sugars. More even energy shows “younger. A well-run digestive system can be seen on the outside! Eat between 200 – 500 grams of vegetables per day.

4. Green tea

A very strong anti-inflammatory that also increases your metabolism. Green (or white) tea contains “catechins,” antioxidants that are 25 to 100 times more potent than vitamins C and E. Three cups a day will do the trick. It is best to drink the real green tea rather than the “trendy variety” in colorful containers, as they contain too many sugars and sweeteners.

5. Water

Water please! To flush toxins and waste from your body as quickly as possible and give your skin adequate hydration from within. From the outside you can keep your skin supple and hydrated with a good cream, but also from the inside you keep things flexible with adequate moisture. Drinking plenty of water also combats fatigue and headaches. With more energy, your skin looks instantly radiant.
