Do you want to stay looking healthy, young and radiant? You can also achieve this through a healthy diet!

Foods high in vitamin E, such as almonds (unsalted), brown rice and olive oil, take care of your skin from the inside out. Vitamin E also helps keep your skin elastic. Of course, we all know we should limit sugars. In fact, sugars accelerate the aging process. Good news for cocoa lovers, though: raw cocoa protects your skin from the harmful and skin-aging effects of UV radiation!

Selenium is found in fish, garlic, nuts, onions, organ meats, chicken, milk and broccoli and reduces wrinkles and keeps your skin and hair strong and healthy.

Water is good for glowing and healthy skin! Drink 1 1/2 to 2 liters a day. Tired of a simple glass of water? Refresh your glass of water with a lemon and fresh mint!

Vitamins….
Vitamin A should not be missed if you want to keep your skin healthy, as it is necessary for skin cell production and reduces wrinkles. Vitamin A is found in fresh vegetables, carrots, sweet potatoes, red and yellow peppers, pumpkin and avocado, mango, (dried) apricots. Vitamin E cares for your skin from the inside out and is found in seeds, avocado and nuts. Vitamin C is important for the formation of collagen that firms the skin.

Eat plenty of, preferably organic, fresh vegetables. Why organic? There are many proponents and opponents for organic food. Why eat this, it is more expensive, but is it actually proven to be healthier? What we do know is organic vegetables, grains and fruits contain up to 60 percent more antioxidants than conventional produce and that they contain no pesticides (herbicides).

Be kind to your skin and start proper nutrition today!
