We are extremely pleased and proud to inform you that the cosmetic medicine profile has been recognized by the KNMG https://www.nvcg.nl/profiel-cosmetische-geneeskunde-erkend/.
This makes the title cosmetic physician KNMG a protected title as of July 1, 2019. The Royal Dutch Medical Association (KNMG) has championed the quality of medical practice and public health since its founding in 1849.
The profile recognition is a tremendous milestone in the mission of the NVCG (Dutch Society of Cosmetic Medicine) to protect patients from incompetent practitioners and to provide a protected qualification to the demonstrably competent cosmetic physicians. This process was initiated by the NVCG and supported by VWS (Ministry of Health Welfare & Sport).
What does this mean for the patient?
– Beginning July 1, 2019, patients will have the opportunity to ascertain whether a cosmetic doctor is competent.
– All NVCG-certified doctors, including our doctors Drs Bart Biermans and Drs Monique Dikrama, will obtain the protected title cosmetic doctor KNMG as of July 1, 2019.
