Thick calves
The treatment is short, but powerful. “The calf is a big muscle group. On average, it takes half a vial of botox per side to reduce excess muscle. Ook not entirely unimportant: the treatment is painless and there are few risks involved.”
At least you don’t have to worry about ending up in a wheelchair. “The calf muscle is an isolated muscle. The chance of other muscles being affected by this treatment is negligible.”
And it would have to be really crazy to inject too much botox into your calves. “The procedure only affects the a small part of the outer muscle fibers. This means you can walk normally after the treatment. The functionality of the calf muscles is maintained, you only reduce the size.”
The biggest risk is being disappointed afterwards. “The results are subtle; the size of your calves will reduce by an average of one to two inches. And you should also keep in mind that it takes a while, before your calf muscle will decrease in volume.”
Results last for an average of 3 to 6 months. “To prevent your calf muscle from increasing in volume again, it is imperative that you go back regularly for a touch-up.”
Getting rid of fat calves
Getting rid of fat calves with botox is not cheap. “The price per zone varies from clinic to clinic, but on average you will pay 350 euros to 500 euros for this treatment.”
